PROVISION OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT AT GROUP PREMISES

When the group took on new premises at Silverlaw Industrial Estate in Annan the Magnox Socio Economic Fund provided funding to equip the premises with fire and chemical safety equipment and storage. This allowed the group to meet legal health and safety standards and allowed volunteers and students from Annan Academy to have a safe working environment.

DREDGING THE HARBOUR CHANNEL

Core funding was provided by Axis IV of the European Fisheries Fund, through Dumfries and Galloway Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) and the South West Environmental Action Trust (SWEAT), a charity which distributes funding from the Landfill Communities Fund. We also received funding from Dumfries and Galloway Area Committee for Annandale and Eskdale, Royal Burgh of Annan Common Good Fund, Magnox and Airvolution.

QUAYSIDE INFRASTRUCTURE

Core funding was provided by FLAG and SWEAT. Funding was also received from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Annandale and Eskdale Area Committee, the Friends of Annandale and Eskdale Museums and Annan Fishermen's Association.

THE SLIPWAY

Annan Community Council and Solway Heritage Communities Landfill Tax Fund provided core funding. In addition, a local business donated labour and one-tonne blocks of sandstone as rock armour.
